Rebecca Magner joined the Bank five years ago as Assistant Branch Manager of the Pawcatuck branch. In 2017, she transferred to the Groton branch in the same role, and in 2018, moved back “home” to the Pawcatuck branch as the Customer Solutions Manager.
Rebecca is passionate about helping community members and her team members achieve their goals. So, when the Bank began receiving a record-volume of SBA loan requests during the first round of the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), it was no surprise when Rebecca quickly volunteered to help. Almost overnight, she was trained to originate, close and fund PPP loans. She proved to be a critical extension of the commercial loan team, handling dozens of PPP loans in 2020, and continuing to support the team and area businesses with the third round of PPP funding that began in January 2021.
She serves as Vice President of the board of the Johnnycake Center in Westerly and was co-chair of the Chelsea Activities Team. Rebecca received the George W. Strouse Spirit award in 2020. She has an Associate’s Degree in Business Management, is a 2018 graduate of the Chelsea Professional Management Series, and expects to graduate from the Connecticut School of Finance and Management program in 2021.
She is a very proud aunt who loves spending time with her niece and nephew. She also enjoys hiking, the pool and the beach. She currently lives in Pawcatuck.
